I am delighted to be recruiting for a well known organization based in the Malton area who due to a change in the business is looking to appoint an Accounts Assistant to join their team for a period of 6-12 months.

This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates with previous accounts experience to really shine in an environment where you will be appreciated and celebrated.

Your day to day duties will include:
*Keeping up to date and maintaining an accurate accounts system
*Raising/sending all sales invoices and liaising with customers for any outstanding payments due
*Checking and matching all purchase invoices to a purchase order and/or delivery note
*Posting invoices onto accounting system
*Arranging monthly supplier payment runs
*File away statements and invoices
*Collate and maintain accurate petty cash records in GPB and EUR
*Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns for the group
*Prepare and submit monthly EC sales and intrastate reports for the group
*Prepare monthly reporting package for submission to Corporate
*Keep specific spreadsheets and finance documents up to date

To succeed with your application you will need:
*Two years relevant accounting experience minimum
*Able to produce accounts to trial balance level
*Good accuracy skills
*Able to work alone and in a team
*Working knowledge of accounting systems

This role is initially for a period of between 6 and 12 months but has the possibility to go permanent for the right person.
