Credit Management & Master Data Administrator

Reports to: Group Credit Manager

Based at: VW Chelmsford

The master debtor/creditor function manages group finance data for 10 retail brands and two corporate functions providing information and support to four regional UK finance centres responsible for the day to day credit and purchase ledger tasks within brand specific environments.

The individual environments hold data for over 100 retail sites representing partners from many of the world's best brands including, Audi, BMW, Jaguar, Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota and Volkswagen.

Job purpose:

Working in a small team in the retail industry, this role is focused on the authorisation, review, management and maintenance of master Purchase and Sales Ledger records to minimise exposure to risk. The team ensure creditor and debtor records are compliant with internal policies, Tax, HMRC and Companies House legislation.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

· To deputise in the absence for Group Credit Manager ensuring tasks are completed in a timely manner

· Review of credit / supplier applications and creation of new accounts within master database

· Maintenance of master creditor / debtor data

· Monitor and manage credit risk & limits assigned

· Monitor and manage BACS risk

· Completion of regular audits to ensure policy compliance

· Validation of supplier status to ensure credit, employment status, BACS, HMRC Tax & VAT compliance

· Maintain and develop customer account data through liaison with retail sites and internal finance teams

· Monitor and report on activities, providing relevant management information
