Buttons is an 86-place nursery located in a distinctive Edwardian house in a residential area south of the town centre of Hanwell. It opens from 7:30am to 6:00pm and provides plenty of on street parking. The nursery is recognised as 'outstanding’ by Ofsted, it has been refurbished to an exceptional standard and boasts a self-contained baby nest, a new preschool garden and spacious rooms filled with Community Playthings resources.

Due to our continued success we are now looking for a passionate Senior Nursery Manager to join a growing and dedicated team. You will have full responsibility to lead and manage the nursery in a supportive and nurturing environment. In the long-term you will have the opportunity to take on regional duties and support other nursereis within the group. Key Duties and responsibilities:

  • Early Years: To lead and manage high quality practice in the nursery working with the operations manager
  • Commercial: To deliver the operating revenue and cost budget of the nursery on monthly, quarterly and annual basis, working with the commercial team.
  • Operational: To manage the day to day operations of the nursery, including outstanding service delivery towards children, staff, parents and other stakeholders.


  • A relevant childcare qualification for the role (NNEB, NVQ3/Diploma 3)
  • A valid Paediatric first aid certificate - desirable
  • A positive approach to gaining further qualifications and CPD
  • A valid food hygiene certificate - desirable

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Experience of working with children aged 0-5
  • Experience of working within and implementing the EYFS statutory framework
  • Experience of working in partnership with parents
  • Experience of providing personal care to children and recognising their individual needs
  • Experience of working in line with the EYFS framework and requirements
  • Experience of working with children with additional needs
  • Knowledge of child development and meeting children’s needs
  • Knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding children and personal responsibilities relating to this
