Our client is a global professional services organisation and genuine market leaders in their field. They have been fairly acquisitive in recent years and are continually looking at ways to diversify. As a business they truly value 'indirect procurement' as this sits at the heart of what they do and there is a lot of opportunity within the EMEA Procurement team to develop across a global organisation.

The key responsibilities are as follows:

  • Responsible for regional category strategy including development, execution and performance of all related activities within a variety of indirect categories
  • Continuously drive category opportunity agenda and identify, agree and execute these projects
  • Accountable for creating strategic solution for specific commodity/service requirements, procurement event planning, RFP/quotation management, bid analysis and recommendations, liaison with internal stakeholders for contract approvals, savings reporting, documentation and compliance
  • Rationalises supply base and develops clear strategic supply partner framework and maintains this framework at senior supplier level
  • Using Global, Regional and Country, market and industry intelligence to identify and qualify new suppliers and trends to support the business and delivery of services
  • Identify opportunities to develop and implement new policies and procedures, including rationalisation of legacy policies and procedures

The successful candidate will:

  • Demonstrate capability to strategically develop and rationalise a multi-million category portfolio
  • Demonstrate ability to work effectively across a regional/global spectrum with consideration of cultural differences and local requirements
  • Have the capability to run multiple procurement projects in parallel
  • Have the ability to analyse complex problems and generate solutions
  • Exhibit exceptional relationship management and conflict management capabilities
  • demonstrate proven track record of working in an environment where customer needs are variable, at short notice & the ability to assess opportunities at speed
  • show experience of implementing relatively complex supply chain solutions; using these to drive out value from an end user perspective
  • Innovate - ability to shape new ideas that deliver business value and drive these through to implementation
  • Be customer driven - understands the customer needs that will support delivery of the business strategy and implements these where appropriate
