We are pleased to be working with an award winning company currently looking for an Account Manager to join their team!

Purpose of the job:

  • Support the field sales team with their existing client renewals
  • Putting together market review quotations
  • Contacting Insurers and negotiating prices if required
  • Participate in Account Manager training to gain an understanding of the products and services we provide

Role:

  • Carry out a market review, obtaining alternative quotes from other insurers and negotiating renewal premium with the holding insurer
  • Provide a regular update to the different field sales advisers on their renewals and alert to any concerns
  • Building a working relationship with Insurers and with Account Managers and Account Supervisor teams in the office
  • Develop an understanding of the whole PMI market and other products and services we offer
  • Understand invoice processing from insurers/providers
  • Liaise with Account Supervisors on any recent client amendments such as joiners & leavers requesting revised quotations as necessary
  • Input any important client notes into Swift for future reference
  • Complete Market review reports for all field advisers’ renewals using template and update spreadsheet
  • Support the team of Account Managers / Head of Sales & Retention with any additional market reviews / new business enquiries when required.

Experience:

  • Experience within the Financial Services / PMI / General Insurance market desirable but not essential as full training is provided
  • Experience in dealing successfully with customer enquiries desirable
  • Ability on negotiation desirable or willing to learn
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills essential
  • Exceptional effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong personable telephone manner
  • Relationship building with Insurers/Providers, Clients and Account Managers
  • Analytical with good judgement
  • Professional client focussed approach
  • Well organised and can respond well under pressure and meeting deadlines
  • Working well as part of a team as well as being able to work for periods using own initiative
  • Experienced in using Microsoft Office Programs
  • Very comfortable working with Spreadsheets, with good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Used to Multi-tasking
  • Efficient and Reliable
  • Minimum of Cert CII or willingness to study towards qualification
