Direct Sales Team Leader
Our client is a well-established, ambitious and profitable specialist player in the Financial Services, leasing market, that, via several products, funds purchases for both consumers and business’ (B2C and B2B), offering a premium service to their customers.
They now seek to grow, initially the B2B business in a way that they’ve not done before, by building a proactive direct sales team. The market is enormous, with vast potential across the UK and, with a highly motivated, well trained and incentivised team, there is a lot of potential out there.
For this to work, our client would like to appoint someone to build and to lead the team. Someone charismatic, with a proven track record or leadership within a pro-active direct sales environment. This is a blank canvass - you will work with the Managing Director, to establish the model, gain a thorough understanding of the market, develop clear KPI’s against which to measure and reward your team and to process map the end to end sales cycle. You will develop and developer regular training for the team including industry specific, general sales, objection handling etc.
Initially, you will need to lead from the front, being hands on in the delivery of results/business so as to be able to learn the nature of the business and, the role, and also to prove the model. At such time that the team grows sufficiently, your role will develop as a manager and leader within the business, leading the team but also developing the business, strategy, products and operations.
