Trainee Process Engineer
Our client who are a heavy industrial company specialising in the manufacture of iron castings are looking for a Trainee Process Engineer to support their technical team. Your role will be to initially learn from the current Process Engineer so no previous experience is necessary but someone with a good level of education or good work ethic would be desirable.
The candidate must also be happy to work in a heavy industrial environment as the majority of the time will be spent on the shop floor.
You will initially learn from the current Process Engineer:
• Understanding the process, Investigating and identifying scrap,
• Finding route causes and implementing actions with assistance of the Process Engineer.
The candidate will have:
• Ideally a good level of education as the role can be mentally tasking but doesn’t specifically require graduate level education to fulfill role as long as work ethic is good.
• A high degree of self-motivation to complete tasks within specified time frames as the candidate will be left alone to investigate issues and report back information collected.
As training can be a lengthy process, at interview stage the company would like the candidate to complete a short general presentation on "casting defects" not to present in a formal environment but will enable them to initially determine who is keen and able to create presentations, as this will be a part of this role.
Hours: Full time, Monday - Thursday: 7am - 4pm, Friday: 7am - 2pm
Salary: £12 - 15k
