An excellent opportunity is available with a most respected Financial Services business based in Birmingham city centre for a Business Risk and Control Assistant Manager.

The Business Risk and Control Assistant Manager will work closely with the Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) team and Assurance team, to ensure the robust control environment is in place.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a series of risk control assessments that capture all of the material risk and controls and execute a programme of control testing in line with the operational risk and Sox frameworks
  • Build design and implement standardised control related MI and develop a detailed understanding of the finance processes they support
  • Internal Audit and Operational Risk reviews to determine whether the team is in full compliance with Operational Risk and Finance guidelines.

The Risk and Control Assistant Manager will possess a comprehensive understanding of risk management and proven experience of ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory processes within a financial services environment. You will possess excellent communication skills and be able to communicate with clarity, both orally and in writing, in a logical order and a structured approach.
