Billing and System Development Manager - Telecoms

Spring Technology are currently working in partnership with a leading telecommunications company to recruit a Billing and System Development Manager to join their existing thriving team within Hatfield. This is a unique opportunity to join a "startup" environment whilst still working for a large household name brand.


£40k - £49k

As a Billing and System Development manager, your responsibilities will be:

*To define and design technical solutions across the billing systems.

*Carry out thorough testing across SIT, UAT and performance in relevant non-production environments, ensuring accuracy before go-live.

*To implement requirements and technical implementation by external service providers.

*Ensure process documents for any changes are written, and existing documents periodically updated in accordance to ISO standards.

*To deliver presentations and training on new system changes, and get buy-in from senior stakeholders for large scale development items.

*Responsible for incident and problem management for all components of the billing systems.

*Consultation and recording requirements of the users of the billing systems, implementing a programme to deliver systematic and business based improvements.

*Configuration and design of new features and oversee implementation of releases

*Responsible for initiating actions for continuous stabilisation, improvements and scaling of the Business Support Systems

*Ensure that all usage types are classified, recorded and understood, and that the mechanisms for accurately charging materially correctly are in place.

*Ensure reconciliation between customer contact points (portal, CRM and invoicing) and the billing systems, accurately reflecting customer products and customer rates.

*Assist operationally during bill runs, working with operational users to quickly understand any issues and work with vendor to resolve.

Key skills required to be successful in this post:

*Billing systems experience, ideally within a telecommunications, utilities or subscription environment.

*Strong relationship/stakeholder management skills

*Expertise in managing software projects and incident/problem management
