The Opportunity
The Indirect procurement organisation is responsible for procuring indirect products and services for both projects and the business, such as Sites services, engineering services, IM, HR, Communication, Travel and Consultancy. Indirect total spend is approximately 500M per year across UK, France and Italy (the Group). An opportunity has arisen in the Indirect procurement team in UK for a Domain Leader for UK Sites and Engineering Services to lead the procurement team in charge of the sites services (including Facility Management, New Infrastructure, Logistics, Security, Stationary ) and of engineering services (offload, contingent workers).

The Role

- To lead and manage a team across all procurement activities in order to establish and maintain the procurement plan strategy, roadmap and optimisation for UK facility management, Sites Services, Logistics and UK engineering services (80M spend/year) through.
- Developing and maintaining supply market knowledge for the domain categories, and contribute in bringing latest market trends innovations in terms of business model or service delivery
- Organise the collaboration with the Stakeholders and ensure that MBDA's services or needs roadmap is fully taken into account in the categories procurement strategies
- Developing sourcing strategies which applies competitive and innovative methodologies to drive better quality of service and cost optimisation, whilst introducing a strong set of terms and conditions with the suppliers.
- Managing suppliers performance and risks to ensure projects on-time delivery

What are we looking for?

- Procurement professional with a broad knowledge of the domain categories (technical and contractual), specifically in professional services and sites Services Procurement
- Ideally educated either to degree level or with an equivalent professional qualification
- Enthusiastic, proactive and adaptable individual able to work within a demanding and changing environment and to deal with complex situations and effectively influence senior stakeholders;
- A natural leader and communicator, able to build strong relationships, with experience in driving multi-functional teams and delivering to tight time-scales, ideally with experience of working internationally;
- Competent contract negotiator with ability to draft contract agreements and approve terms and conditions;
- Team management expertise and excellent team building able to assist in training, leading and advising his or her team members
