Working within the CISO department as part of the Security Advisory team, the advisor will be working with internal and external stakeholders (both IT and non-IT areas). The focus of the role will be to provide specialist advice and guidance on a variety of information and cyber security matters, as well as, performing risk assessments and security designs as part of projects.

This role may require some travel to Aviva offices throughout the UK.

Experience in an information security fieldSecure development lifecycle methodologies, especially in application to Agile and Digital environmentsApplication security practices and integration with IT change processesRisk management principles and assessment methodologies (e.g. IRAM2, MoR)Performing technical security risk assessments, preferably within insurance or financial services organisationsInformation security frameworks and methodologies (e.g. ISF, NIST, ISO)Desirable:

Security technologies (firewalls, WAFs, DLP, cryptography, vulnerability scanning, identity and access management, etc.)Identity & Access Management design and deployment, including role based access control, JML, recertification and segregation of duties etcPKI and cryptography fundamentals, including design and deployment of key management processes, hardware security modules etcSkills:


Able to deal with a broad range of business areasStrong analytical skills in order to assess security vulnerabilities and design security solutionsSelf starter, and good time managementGood verbal and written communication skillsProject management skills in order to manage multiple security assessments and changing priorities simultaneouslyDesirable:
