A Supportability Engineer is required to join a global organisation on a range of exciting projects in their Cheadle office on a permanent basis.
This role will require you to use your knowledge of Supportability Engineering and Integrated Logistics Support. Using supportability tools and processes you will work with the Supportability Engineering Manager, Product Authority, System Engineers to achieve company goals.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
Contribute to Supportability Engineering, Availability, Reliability and Maintainability Analysis including:
Production of the Supportability CaseProduction of the Reliability and Maintainability CaseFailure Modes, Effects and Criticality AnalysisSupportability Analysis including Logistic Support AnalysisDesign influence in favour of SupportabilityUndertake Supply Support tasks including codification and spares ranging and scalingAbility to identify risks and issues and propose possible solutionsAbility to integrate into the design community and represent Supportability at design reviewsAssist in improving company Supportability Engineering processesTo contribute towards the development of Support Solutions during the bids and proposals stageWrite and maintain the Reliability &Maintainability PlanManagement of suppliers regarding the Integrated Logistic Support subcontractProduction of Integrated Support PlansSupport Solutions Envelope, including Key Support AreasTailoring of requirements and standards
Experience and Skills
A degree in a relevant engineering discipline; e.g. electronic engineering, electrical engineering or mechanical engineering etc. with a grade of at least a 2:1Good working knowledge of Microsoft® Office (Word, Visio, Excel & PowerPoint)Good standard of written and spoken EnglishGood communication skills
Understanding of availability, reliability and maintainability as applied to mechanical and electronic/electrical systemsUnderstanding of the UK MoD operating environment and support policiesExperience of practical maintenance and operation of electronic, electrical or mechanical systems
