Production Liaison Improvement Engineer
Brief overview of this role
Identify machine weak areas and repetitive faults. Plan and implement repairs and machine improvements.
Liaise with the Operational support engineer regarding machine efficiency to plan and implement improvements.
Training of operational staff·Assist in the creation of preventative maintenance schedules and predict potential failures prior to occurrence and implement corrective actions as necessary.·Using Shotscope liaise with Operational support engineer to create daily reports on downtime and investigate and implement repairs and long term solutions ·Assist in the creation of a training matrix to upskill all members of staff·Systematically correct all potential hazards where appropriate or bring them to the attention of responsible person(s) filling in appropriate documentation and offering corrective solutions.·Complete any documentation as required regarding production and engineering.·Support other engineers on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and fault finding as appropriate.·Support manufacturing and quality departments where appropriate·Maintain your area of responsibility in excellent order ensuring housekeeping and cleanliness of the machine, workshop and associated area at all times.·Undertake any repair work (mechanical / electrical) that is necessary to bring equipment back to optimum running speeds, safety and quality.To ensure that any electrical parts of equipment are maintained and repaired to current IEE regulations. ·Operate workshop equipment in a safe manner, complying with all legislation·Machine optimisation, setting up the machine to maximise all movements.·Full understanding of quality issues & rectification.·Full understanding of machines mechanics, electrics, electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, motion control & PLC program control.Essential

Knowledge of the following ancillariesChilled water systems.Low pressure compressed air systems including automated drying & purification.
Training.Apprentice trained Electrician with 17th Edition regulationsElectrical training to NVQ level 3 Mechanical training to NCQ level 3Engineer training & evaluating.Full understanding of Husky Injection Moulding Machine, PET processing theory, from the pellet to packing of the product.Siemens PLC training
Electrical & Electronic skills in the following.PLC installations for specific projects.PLC control, save & restore functions.PLC interrogation for trouble shooting purposes.Create PLC programs as part of improvement plans.Trouble shooting on motor circuits, from DOL to servo systems
