This successful business in part of a global group of companies focussed on the design and manufacture of specialist equipment. Backed by a large parent company they have a reputation for developing new technologies and bespoke engineering solutions to their clients. The Financial Controller position will partner with finance leaders in the business to ensure compliance and controls are in place along with robust financial reporting and closing activities. Key duties will include:

  • Financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP, maintaining controls and processes to comply with SOX
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and formal monthly / quarterly review
  • Ownership of reconciliations linked to commercial and operations
  • Supporting Site Controller with finance transformation projects
  • Lead closing activities ensuring liaison with group shared service and senior finance
  • Analysis of results to prior year, budget and forecast
  • Preparation of reports for CAPEX, assets, project analysis
  • Business partner with commercial team on budgeting, forecasting and FP&A processes
  • Tracking standard cost reporting and accuracy
  • Monitoring operational costs related to labour, inventory and fixed assets

The ideal candidate for this role would have strong experience of financial controls and reporting, a willingness to drive improvement and explain financial results across the wider business. Pro-active management and reporting of costs will also be a key component of this position. You will report to a variety of senior finance leaders in the UK, EMEA region and America so the ability to manage your own timetable and meet project deadlines will be very important.
