A fantastic opportunity has become available for New Product Development Project Engineer to work with one of Sental’s Global clients.

Role Overview: Working within the R&D team, you will provide guidance and direction to project teams on engineering on the design and implementation of sound engineering design solutions for Medical Devices

Salary: Excellent

Location: East Yorkshire

Duration of Employment: Permanent

Hours: Full Time

Responsibilities:

·Act as the electromechanical engineering lead on product development projects

·Provide engineering technical guidance to product development team in the design and development of medical devices

· Manage external design partners to ensure that electromechanical design and related design tasks are completed efficiently

·Execute packages of electromechanical design and systems integration including producing specification, design and drawings, test regimes and formal design documentation.

·Supports complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved technologies or methods of application, resulting in the development of new or refined technologies, products, materials processes, equipment and or scientific methods.

·Contribute to the definition and documentation of system level architectures or electromechanical medical devices

·Work with cross-functional teams to define system requirements

·Contribute to risk management activities

·Serve as an example of engineering excellence

·Apply technical rigor in problem solving and analysis, recommending process improvements.

·Partnering with the manufacturing engineering in assisting in developing test methods, equipment acquisition of new product testing, validations/qualifications, statistical analysis of data for significance and other documented requirement for quality objectives

·Conduct technical investigations and testing providing technical information and guidance to project teams

·Lead design reviews on system level architectures and designs

·Work with the NPD team to ensure verification and validation outputs meet design inputs through the creation, review and execution of test cases, and participation in new product risk analyses and design reviews.

The successful New Product Development Project Engineer must have the following skills and experience:

·BSC in appropriate engineering discipline (Mechanical , electronics or biomedical)

·Experience in product development, requirements management, risk management, verification and validation and technical leadership within an FDA regulated industry

·Technical experience of medical devices preferred
