Overview of role

The development team primarily uses Microsoft (MS) Visual Studio as their software development kit (SDK), with Internet information services (IIS) and Azure Web Apps used to host web applications. As a member of the team you will work on a variety of internally developed projects such as wall board and management information (MI) applications. Many projects will involve responsive web development, ensuring the application displays correctly on mobile, tablet and desktop displays.


  • You will work with the Lead Developer to design, develop, test, maintain and support internal and external web applications, including back-end and front-end.
  • Roll out software updates on a weekly basis upon approval from the change advisory board.
  • Create and triage change requests from Directors and Management in the project management system.

Required Skills

Essential Skills

  • Experience with HTML 4/5, CSS 3 and JavaScript
  • Working knowledge of web applications
  • Strong communicator and proactive team player
  • Exposure to software development methodologies (Kanban)

Desired Skills

  • Experience with C# or an object-oriented programming language
  • Experience with MS Visual Studio 2015/2017
  • Experience with the MS .Net Framework - ASP.NET / MVC
  • Exposure to source control

Preferred Qualifications

  • HND or Degree in an IT related subject or equivalent practical experience
