An exciting opportunity has arrived for NPI Engineers in a fast developing, award winning Automotive business in the North West.
The business in Burnley have 2 positions open and are looking for these candidates to come in immediately.

Role: NPI Engineer
Area: Burnley
Salary: £36,000 - £40,000 per annum

The client has 2 key prestige projects with major Automotive giants that has bought about the requirement to grow their Manufacturing Team.
Reporting to the Programme Manager - the main requirements of the NPI Engineer will be:-

With the business expanding rapidly and with projected growth for the future; the NPI Project Engineer will be working in a busy casting manufacturing environment. You will be directly involved in running NPI Projects and engaging with internal and external resources to deliver the project on time, with quality and on budget. A CNC background would be advantageous.

The key responsibilities of the NPI Project Engineer will be:-

o Managing the project from cradle to grave through structured gated process

o liaise with customers, suppliers and your manufacturing team to meet the specifications of the customer

o Use of FMEA activities to process the validation for new & existing manufacturing processes to meet requirements

o Comply with TS16949 & ISO9001 (working knowledge is essential)

o Generate & issue component inspections reports & manage the PPAP & APQP process

The role for the NPI Project Engineer will have the following requirements in order to be successful:-
o Hands on approach; with a working knowledge of PPAP & APQP essential

o Degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline preferably Manufacturing (automotive)

o Solid understanding of engineering principles - CNC and/or Aluminium Casting would be viewed very well by the client

o Strong ability to manage a project and to chair review meetings

o Experience using 3D CAD software - CATIA preferred

o Interpretation of drawings

This role could be ideal for a younger engineer who may have some of the skills and is looking for that exposure on prestige projects. The company will invest in your progression.
Anyone from a strong Quality background who can manage the PPAP & APQP's and has aspirations to get into something different could be a good fit for this role.
