Propulsion Electrification System Engineer

Position Description:

Lead Delivery of Electrification System level Failure Mode Avoidance process. Write & release all new/incremental Electrification System requirements and test procedures. Lead definition of a consolidated cross car line Electrification System Design Verification Plan. Ensure appropriate test property provision (rigs and vehicles), to correct timing and specification, to complete compiled DVP. Ensure setup & commissioning of test properties, including leading and coordinating any integration issue resolution and sign-off activities to verify test readiness. Track status of all compiled DVP & DVT activities and associated gateway readiness prognosis. Support delivery of the agreed DVP plan and issue formal sign off reports as per agreed DVP requirements. Manage allocated Test/Fleet Vehicles - ensure any updates (H/W and S/W) and functional issues managed.

Skills Required:

Experience in Automotive Propulsion Electrification System delivery including Engineering Sign Off

Experience in Automotive Design Verification Process planning and delivery

Experience in delivering Electrification System or Component Failure Mode Avoidance Process (FMEA etc.)

Experience Required:

Experience in working in teams to effectively deliver objectives in automotive engineering environment.

Experience Preferred:

Familiarity with Engineering Procedures Preferably degree qualified in appropriate Automotive, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering fields.

Additional Information:

Driving License (preferably clean) for occasional intersite travel occasionally at Whitley.

Hours:40 per week

Rate:£27.00 per hour limited company rate

This role is signed off until 31st March 2019, with a view to renew a further 12 months
