Senior Python Software Engineer (Python, frameworks, Cloud, database, APIs) 50-60K + 10% Bonus + Benefits

Austin Fraser are working with a software company in Oxfordshire to secure quality Python Engineers, to work across the end to end process of building and extending cloud platforms to support the company product portfolio. We are looking at senior as well as midweight roles, both with room to grow and expand your abilities as well as your careers.

The ideal candidate for the role will naturally have very strong Python ability- it is your main go to language and you have solid experience writing code to production level that is scalable, smart and extendable. You will be well versed with full stack frameworks; You will know what problems can occur and how to overcome them. Ideally you will have strong architectural experience and ability, and are able to pick up new structures, platforms and processes quickly.

The role also really wants a strength with Cloud and AWS, as well as skill and experience with front end and deploying python in web apps (javascript, HTML5, CSS, APIs etc). Experience with messaging like RabbitMQ, DevOps tools and experience with SQL or other RDBMS will be really useful.

This role will be looking to you to be the teams lead developer- whilst this is not a management position you will be leading the team from the front, setting the standards, mentoring those in your team, conducting code reviews and testing. The company are past start up but maintain their start up culture- a fast, collaborative Agile/Scrum culture where you are expected to work together and help to achieve the project goals - there will be no hand holding or waiting around for instruction - you need to go out and make things happen!

The company release and update frequently, so we are looking for people who can spin many plates, work on multiple projects simultaneously, and can delivery high quality in a fast paced environment. You will also be comfortable with the CI/CD methodology, preferably with experience of this (any DevOps skill and experience will also prove useful).
