Keoghs is looking to appoint an Infrastructure Security Engineer with dual project and operations responsibilities. The role will be focused on key Microsoft technologies including, Active Directory, SQL, Office 365, MS Azure and Windows server as well as VMWare/Veeam.
Keoghs are focused on the delivery of key transformation projects to remove/upgrade legacy applications as well as GDPR and ISO27001, which are all delivering infrastructure and security changes across key systems.
We are looking for someone who possesses key infrastructure skills but who also has a keen interest in security. Keoghs have a large number of security-focused projects underway and planned, which requires someone to collaborate closely with developers, operations as well as technical groups to help define and maintain security standards.
This is an ideal role for a strong infrastructure engineer who wishes to further develop their experience and skills in security technologies and standards.
•Evaluate and recommend new and emerging security products, solutions and technologies that best fit business needs and direction
•Help instil security by design principles within the development and other technical teams
•Design and implement solutions based on business requirements that are in line with the vendor/product architecture and industry best practice
•Document and communicate the technical architecture and its benefit and impact on business processes to key stakeholders and team
•Identify security issues and risks, and develop mitigation plans and procedures
•Proactive analysis of infrastructure, recommend improvement initiatives to aid in the delivery of critical business applications
•Working with live services and development for problem management of key issues relating to the case management system
Essential Technical Skills and Attributes
•Microsoft SQL Server
•PowerShell and scripting for automation
•Agile – Experience of Agile Scrum methodology.
•Concern for Excellence - Understands the Principles of Excellence at Keoghs and how these are applied to the way Keoghs runs its business

•Must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic who can work without supervision.
•Show a highly committed attitude

•Hold a full Driving Licence with access to own transport
