Our client is looking for a HOD of Mathematics and Director to join a busy yet welcoming and friendly team with a competitive salary ranging up to L6-L10 £50.000 based on experience. The school serves students from ages 11-18 with a strong, inclusive and caring culture with an Ofsted rating of Good'. They are extremely proud of the young people within the school who are committed to their learning and are a huge representation of their academic excellence and the amazing care that the students receive.

The Senior HOD of Mathematics and Maths Director responsibilities will be:

• Strategic Leadership of the Schools Maths curriculum.
• Build and sustain and sustain a cohesive Maths department that achieves at a high level on every measure
• Be accountable for student achievement and progress in Mathematics
• Lead and Manage an exciting and engaging Mathematics curriculum at KS3, KS4 and KS5 leading to high levels of achievement and progress
• Continuously raise standards through a schedule of assessment, tracking and intervention
• Effectively lead, manage and deploy teaching and support staff within Mathematics to ensure the highest student outcomes.

What the successful HOD of Mathematics will:

• Liase with Guidance Leaders to ensure a co-ordinated approach to learning support for each student in Mathematics
• Identify and respond to the professional learning needs of staff
• Utilising expertise and provision in liaison with deputy head teacher
• Ensure that the Mathematics team offers an effective first line of support for staff in student behaviour matters that is in line with whole school behaviour for learning policy and guidance
