Are you an ambitious accountant looking for a new challenge and progression opportunities within a FTSE100 business?
We are looking for a Property Development Accountant to support the Senior Finance Business Partner in delivering best-in-class financial & performance analysis and reporting for our unique Property Development business unit - a team that works on a variety of property acquisitions and disposals of all sizes. You'll work with a team of highly experienced professionals and senior leaders in assisting to drive a strong business-partnering culture, underpinned by healthy challenge and control. In a commercially-focussed role, you'll also be responsible for making sense of the commercial inputs from the team to ensure a sales pipeline is well managed and associated revenues are well understood. This role will give you exposure to Senior Management whilst delivering a varied and wide-ranging autonomous role in a very exciting part of the business. Furthermore, as well as providing an exciting and stimulating opportunity for you to add real value to a thriving area of our business, this role will give you an excellent platform for developing your longer-term career ambitions in a business that actively encourages internal promotion.

As a Property Development Accountant, you will:
- Assist in planning, controlling, managing, and delivering of the Forecast, Budget & long-range planning process and outputs for one of the most agile and exciting areas of the Severn Trent business - Ideally have recently completed your studies (ACCA, ACA or CIMA), or be part-qualified and looking for an opportunity to utilise the knowledge gained in your studies - Have good exposure to financial analysis, budgeting & forecasting and financial reporting - with examples demonstrating your commercial awareness and business partnering qualities - Have good examples of working effectively with stakeholders of all level and backgrounds, helping to ensure finance and operations work closely and effectively together - Demonstrate excellent influencing skills across all spectrums (internal and external, senior and junior, finance and non-finance)
