Lift Engineer

Established for over 25 years, they are different from other lift companies, they are passionate about R&D; they manufacture their own lift control panels in house and they are currently working on an online remote monitoring system compatible with any lift, whatever the type or manufacturer – patent pending.

Position: Lift Modernisation / Installation / Major Repairs
Location: London / South England
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: up to £40k depending on experiences

About the role:

As Lift Engineer your primary objective is to carry out all aspects of Lift Modernisation work including completing small lift refurbishment type projects to a high standard including the installation of new controllers, door operators and hydraulic equipment.


- Installing and fitting out lifts, lifting gear and lift wells
- Refurbishing or replacing lift interiors, flooring, panel displays, communication systems, buttons and lighting
- Dealing with technical queries
- Responsible, at all times, for Health and Safety and Code of Practice for Safe Working on Lifts

About you:

Candidates should have excellent customer skills, be self-motivated and flexible, with the ability to work effectively as part of a dedicated mods / install team.

An experienced Lift Engineer to join their successful team based in london/ South England . This geographical spread is an area which they are looking to grow therefore career opportunities should arise as the company continually expands.

Minimum of 5+ years working within the lift industry, with keen knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, you will be experienced in full modernisation projects and should be familiar with installation method requirements, site preparation and have knowledge of construction industry contracts.

Your education background will include an NVQ level 3 Lift Servicing / Repair / installation qualification, LEIA modules & working knowledge of current 16th Edition Wiring Regulations would also be desirable.

You may have experience of the following: Lift Engineer, Lift Technician, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Engineer, Refurbishments, Lift Service Engineer, Lift Service Technician, H&S, Health and Safety, etc.
