We have an excellent opportunity to join our Apprentice Scheme and qualify as a Production Line Process Technician. These positions will incorporate qualifications including Performing Engineering Operations and a Technical Certificate. In addition you will complete our Apprentice Passport internal training programme that will enable you to be competent to carry out tasks within the Braunstone Plant, and for your potential career in industry with experience on high speed automated production lines and team working in a fast paced precision manufacturing environment.

As an Apprentice you will follow a formal structured training programme at a Technical Training Centre, based in Coventry, along with learning how to work safely, maintain good housekeeping and good engineering practices. The skills and knowledge for the Technical Certificate will be gained on-site by working in the Production area across the production line roles which will enable the completion of in-house training programmes. You will be trained in the Engineering principles and practices to Level 2 as well as to be able to operate production machinery to the required specification achieving required levels production with low spoilage levels and good quality and deliver the required specification.

The first year salary will be £13,596 with the potential to increase to £27,350 (today’s rates) in year 4 when working continental shifts. There is a potential of a full time position with a salary scope of £34,761–£38,541 dependant on qualifications achieved and vacant positions.

Successful candidate must have a minimum of 5 GSCEs at Grade C/Grade 4 or above including English, Maths, Science and ICT. As a result should already hold the required qualifications to have achieved the Level 3 functional skills. You must be driven, self-motivated and have a can-do/will-do approach. Previous work experience is advantageous, and the ability to demonstrate your passion and ability in engineering within your hobbies and interests is an important part of the selection process.
