We support, develop and work with our leaders, whichhelps people understand and support our transformation into a"Digital Retail Leader".Key accountabilities and responsibilities will include:You will display leadership and role model customer focused behavioursfor a team of up to 12 direct reports and up to 300 colleagues at Peak.Ensuring all shift activities are co-ordinated with daily and weeklytasks achieved, making best use of resources available. Effectivelymotivating and leading Team Managers to continually improve performancelevels and quality standards.Display leadership and role model customer focused behaviours inmanaging a team of Team Managers, ensuring that KPI's and high profileservice level agreements are achieved in a fast moving Distribution Centre.Naturally, flexibility is crucial to the role as you will be workingshifts incorporating weekends, in a 24 hour operation. Here at Argos, wewill expect for you to be:Reporting to an Operations Manager you will be responsible for thedirect day to day management of the warehouse team by maintaining a highstandard of communication through team briefings, consultation, employeereviews and one-to-one conversations.Financial responsibility including cost-management / KPI and budgetarycontrol over costs and resources.To implement agreed plans to ensure the site meets daily and weeklyobjectives, ensuring compliance to process and procedure bothoperational, and people-related matters taking corrective action where appropriate.Leading and developing a team of managers by coaching and empoweringthem to ensure the correct culture is embedded in order to maintain highlevels of customer focus and collaboration between departments.Demonstrate effective delegation, objective setting and monitoring.Carry out the monitoring of management performance, instigating actionsto rectify under achievement as appropriate and recognising andcelebrating success.To be successful in this role we ask that you:At least two years' experience of leading at least four first line managers.Be able to clearly evidence being able to deliver results at bothbusiness and personal level.Previous experience in a logistics / production environment would be advantageous.Is able to demonstrate a coaching approach to management of the team.Sound knowledge of cost-control / financial analysis and reporting.Experience of managing and working within budgets and service levelagreements would be desirable.You may have experience of any of the following: Warehousing /Distribution / 3PL / Line Management / Senior Management / Logistics / Retail.What you'll get in returnAs well as an excellent salary and usual company benefits, which include24 days holiday you will be working for an extremely welcoming sitewhich has just gone through a rebrand to align our distribution networkwith our digital stores.You can find more information on our website www.argoscareers.com alongwith details on our excellent benefits and video profiles of what it'slike to work for Argos.Agility Indicators We rely on our leaders to have exceptional capability, who lead byexample, who exceed in all of their objectives and who get the job done,with pace and who focus on the right things.
