UX/UI Designer, Leicester to £42,000 Superb package
An excellent opportunity for a UX/UI designer to work for a growing software company who specialise in the latest automation software located in Leicester. You will be developing web, mobile & desktop apps into easy-to-use and visually striking products, the UX/UI designer will be responsible for researching, designing, prototyping and creating visual artefacts based on product requirements. The UX/UI designer will work closely with Business Analysts and Stakeholders in each project to capture user requirements using wireframes, mock-ups and prototypes. The projects will vary from being heavily based on requirements to more experimental work including proof of concepts. You will review existing applications with a view to improve usability and design. In addition, you will produce and maintain guidelines for Usability, User Experience and User Interface design for a consistent experience across all products.
Illustrate design ideas using storyboards and process flows.
Design graphical user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets.
Build wireframes, prototypes and mock-ups based on product requirements.
Review and improve existing applications for usability improvements.
Solve complicated processes and concepts into simple, intuitive user flows and interfaces.
Challenge established thinking and come up with new design concepts in the business.
Embrace emerging standards while promoting best practices.
Produce and maintain guidelines for a consistent user experience across applications.
Work on multiple projects and manage time and expectations appropriately.
Collaborate with a cross functional team to create user experiences that are best in class.
Extensive experience in visual design, prototyping, UX/UI or related field.
Mastery of design tools within the Adobe Creative Suite.
Excellent creative and design skills.
Excellent understanding of web design, branding and usability.
Demonstrable skills in Photoshop and Illustrator.
Aptitude and desire to learn existing products and take constructive feedback.
Team spirit; strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
