Full-time, Permanent position available.

Due to recent expansion of our business, Hassle Free Boilers need a Gas Installation Engineer to join our very successful team of Installers, Technical Surveyors and Service and Breakdown Engineers.

We are looking for experienced Gas Engineers to successfully perform domestic gas boiler installations, ensuring all activities are completed safely, efficiently and to the customer’s satisfaction within the requirements of Gas Safety (Installation & Use) Regulations.

Hassle Free Boilers provide the following equipment:

  • Phone (PDA type)
  • All job specific tools and equipment
  • Uniform
  • Vehicle for business use

Main Duties/Responsibilities

  • Extensive experience in domestic gas heating installation and service, including boiler replacement, pipework modifications, heating controls and service/maintenance
  • Respect the customers properties and to complete all work in a clean and tidy manner
  • Complete all work in line with company procedures and to an agreed timescale, including all associated administration tasks
  • Able to work on own initiative
  • Strictly adhere to all Health & Safety procedures and all relevant industry standards (including basic risk assessments)
  • Responsible for managing company vehicle, including its cleanliness (inside and out) and van stock levels
  • A flexible approach to working hours, be willing travel and lodge away from home from time to time to meet customers’ expectations (very occasionally)
  • Always be a company ambassador and able to demonstrate a high level of customer service

Essential Qualifications and Accreditations

  • Current gas qualifications (through an Accredited Certification Scheme), including Gas Safe registration. CCN1, CEN1, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1, MET1, WAT1 and Unvented Hot Water
  • A minimum NVQ Level 2/C&G or equivalent in a plumbing and/or heating related discipline
  • We will complete a DBS check (CRB) that must come back clear
  • Health and Safety awareness including Asbestos Awareness and Working at Heights training
  • General IT skills, you will be required to complete documentation using a mobile device

Desirable Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • 17th Edition or Part P electrical qualifications
  • LPG/Oil knowledge a significant advantage – Must be willing to attend training upon commencement of employment if not qualified
