National Account Manager - Foodservice and Wholesale

Our client is a dynamic, family owned business within the FMCG sector; they have achieved the accolade of number one status in the UK within their category. Due to significant growth they are now looking for a National Account Manager to join and manage both Regional and National relationships within the Foodservice and Wholesale channel.

As National Account Manager you will report directly into the Channel Controller and work closely with them to implement agreed JBP’s across new distributor partnerships as well as manage an existing portfolio of accounts.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Building and executing existing customer joint business plans to deliver continued account growth

  • You will be responsible for providing scheduled activity plans and managing all promotional activity throughout these accounts

  • Develop sales through Introducing new listings to existing accounts to increase brand awareness and a return on sale

  • Support the Channel Controller to deliver and implement the overall channel strategy and activation

  • Take ownership and accountability for forecasting and commercial account analysis for all accounts

  • Identify new business opportunities at both regional and national level; forming new partnerships to distribute products to a wider audience

Your skills and experience should include:

  • 2 years FMCG experience at a minimum - Foodservice or Wholesale experience is advantageous

  • You will have experience in negotiating and delivering JBP’s at both a regional and national level

  • Have in-depth and robust sales training; providing you the ability to approach sales with a good structure

  • Computer literate - have a good level of Outlook and Excel skills and possess essential Powerpoint skills

  • Possess the ability to communicate and build relationships with key contacts at all levels

  • Highly motivated and hard-working nature - meaning your attention to detail is second to none and you adapt exceptionally well to changing priorities, fast pace and considerable workload

You will ideally be located within a commutable distance of Leicester.
