Experis Consulting has an exciting and unique opportunity for Systems Administrators to be trained into DevOps Engineers whilst working for one of the leading Global brands within the IT industry. This is a great opportunity to join Experis' ever growing consulting division where you will be trained and developed whilst representing Experis on one of our leading Global accounts.

If you are an experienced Systems Administrator with skills across Linux, Bash or Shell Scripting and Database technologies and are looking to train within DevOps tools including: Ansible, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Chef, Puppet, UrbanCode, JIRA, Git, TFS, RTC, Artifactory, Nexus, Selenium, Appium, SOAPUI, Rational Test, Workbench, JMeter, ZAP, Bash, Shell, JavaScript, Linux, AWS, Azure, Groovy, Batch, Ant, Maven, Java and/or Cucumber then this could be the opportunity for you.

Over a 12 month period you will be working on DevOps projects focussing on the Infrastructure, Development or Testing part of the DevOps lifecycle. You will utilise your tooling skills to apply yourself to an existing tool chain while undertaking a bespoke training plan to give you technology skills across a range of tools and technologies. You will need to be eligible for Security Clearance and be willing to travel to and work as part of client DevOps teams.

Applicants must be experienced Systems Administrators with 3 - 5 years' experience and this must include Linux experience. You must also possess the following attributes:

  • Problem Solving: Ability to analyse and resolve complex infrastructure resource and application deployment issues
  • Professional commitment to high quality, and a passion for learning new skills
  • Detail oriented individual with the ability to rapidly learn new concepts and technologies
  • A strong team player with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively in a geographically disperse working environment
  • Agile Methodologies: Experience with Agile software development, project management methodologies
  • Experience of one of the following: Configuration management, Bash/Shell Scripting, YAML, Cloud, JavaScript, build deployment, production monitoring
  • Experience of one of the following: JavaScript, HTML or Visual basic or basic coding in any language. Test driven development, manual testing, automated testing
  • DB Skills: Basic DB administration experience (Oracle, SQL Server)
  • The ability to be Security Cleared
