One of the world’s leading consultancies is currently recruiting for an experienced Infrastructure Architect on a permanent full-time basis due to continued growth.

The Role

As an Infrastructure Architect, you will be leading and managing a small team Infrastructure Designers, taking ownership of the technical design and implementation for major infrastructure enhancement or subsystems. You will be responsible assessing business requirement and presenting technical recommendations that are in line with the customer’s strategic architecture roadmap and industry best practice. Also, you will serve as a subject matter expert for specific areas of technical infrastructure.

What You Need

Security clearance to DV clearance is required for this vacancy! If you are not currently security cleared, you will need to be eligible for this and willing to go through the process.

On top of security clearance, you will be expected to be able to demonstrate experience in requirement analysis and definition, infrastructure solution design; including identifying, documenting and assessing technical options and specification of system components; sizing and costing.

In addition, experience and knowledge of several of the following technical areas are required;

  • Secure Systems design
  • Public, Private and Hybrid Cloud hosting experience (AWS, Azure, UKCloud)
  • Desktop & Server OS (Windows Server/Desktop, Linux, Unix)
  • Database (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
  • OS Support (Active Directory, Software/Package deployment)
  • Virtualisation (VMWare, Citrix)
  • Storage/SANs & Backup/Recovery (HP, NetApp, Symantec)
  • Security (GAP, SSLF, Group Policy)
  • High Availability/Business Continuity (Data Replication, Clustering, Load balancing, failover)
  • Systems management and operational support tools (HPOM, SolarWinds, Hyperic)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
