Sheridan Maine is recruiting for a Purchase ledger clerk in a well established Manufacturing business in Marston Green on a 12 month FTC that will hopefully go Permanent based on performance.

About The Role

Working in a friendly busy and fast paced environment as a Purchase Ledger Clerk you will be supporting the finance team by taking ownership of a full manufacturing location and controlling the end to end duties of the purchase ledger function. Initially on a 12 month contract with a view to go perm.

Duties to include but not limited to:
  • Maintenance of the Accounts Payable functions for European
  • manufacturing locations.
  • Liaise with Central Finance Accounts Payable personnel.
  • Ensuring group finance procedures are adhered to within our current
  • working practices.
  • Ensuring timely payments to vendors including manual payments.
  • GRN reconciliation and resolution disputes.
  • Liaison with suppliers regarding disputes.
  • Any other projects or tasks assigned to you by the management
  • team
The ideal candidate will have worked with a manufacturing/engineering company previously and will have strong Purchase Ledger capabilities. Previous experience of working within a high volume, automotive manufacturing environment, coupled with the ability to work as an individual or as part of a team.
  • Manufacturing/engineering
  • AP processing experience on AS400 system and SAP.
  • Experience in Supplier Reconciliation (SOFP)
  • Dealing with a high volume of invoices and Debt collection
  • Must have some experience with purchase ledger processes
    • Able to communicate at all levels of the business

What is on offer?

Up to 23,000 P/A dependent on experience along with;

  • 25 days per annum, plus 1 additional service day per 4 years up to 4 additional days
