EC&I Project Engineer / Project Manager - £50-65k DOE + Healthcare – East Midlands – Process Industry Background Required

Samuel Frank Associates require an experienced Project Engineer / Project Manager to join a rapidly expanding client in the East Midlands. Process industry background is a must for this position, candidates with project delivery experience in the oil & gas, petrochemical, chemical, energy from waste and/or biomass sectors could be well suited. Applicants with ATEX and/or HAZOP knowledge/certifications could also be well suited too. This person will have full project responsibility to deliver electrical and software aspects of the project and will have a proven track record in delivering LV/HV systems to clients in the process industry.

This is role will initially be mainly office-based role with occasional trips to site and overtime the frequency of UK site work is likely to increase.

The key aspects of the role include -

·Project management of complete systems from initial system design through to final handover and operational support.

·Operating with a team of systems engineers to complete the project management requirements

·Reporting to and liaising with the Divisional Manager to ensure project impetus and deadlines are maintained.

·Supervising the design the electrical systems for our equipment. This position is part of a team that is responsible for specifying, purchasing, and commissioning the electrical distribution equipment.

·The production, gathering and presentation of information specifically associated with the submission for tender on large scale industrial projects such as the development of electrical single line diagrams, load lists and overall plant electrical distribution systems.

·Generating / reviewing technical specifications supplied by contractors for the building infrastructure implementation, specifically the electrical content (LV/HV)

·Generating / reviewing technical specifications and purchasing key electrical equipment such as medium and low voltage switchgear, motor control centres, starters, transformers, VFDs, UPS systems, DC systems etc.

·Writing / drawing / reviewing the technical content of all aspects of electrical and systems engineering and design, the production of bid and construction documents and engineering assistance for start-up.

·Evaluation of electrical / systems data and designs submitted by contractors and suppliers

·Lead our system integrator (Draughtsman, Designers, and Engineers) in executing the electrical designs, verification of those designs including PLC and SCADA systems.

The successful Project Engineer / Project Manager will be educated to Degree level and is likely to have at least 5 years technical experience in EC&I engineering. It would be advantageous if your technical experienced involved Allen Bradley Control Logix 5000 and FactoryTalk View SE/ME.
