Senior Claims Technician

Jobs like this involve handling large or complex Profin claims using agreed claims process to achieve settlement and business objectives. You will develop a strong technical knowledge base and work closely with brokers and customers to deliver outstanding claims service. You will work as part of a team providing claims insight to the business and act as a technical referral point to less experienced colleagues.

* To handle and settle a Profin claims case load working closely with brokers, Policyholders and service providers. Ensuing prompt settlement of the files, accuracy and timeliness of reserving, including control of legal panel expenses.
* To work within the framework of RSA's service standards and focus on service delivery across the team for all internal /external client groups and stakeholders.
* To fulfil relevant regulatory and legislative requirements and operate in accordance with of claims license.
* To act as part of a team to ensure both team and individual goals are met and to work with third a party service providers to ensure claims service standards are maintained
* To represent RSA at internal and external meetings including review meetings with brokers, clients and London market representatives
* To develop and maintain client relationships and look after key accounts through providing timely and clear responses to correspondence received.
* To provide general assistance and support to claims colleagues, managers and underwriters including projects and ad-hoc tasks as they arise.
* Level of authority: dependent on the experience of the successful candidate claims authority will be granted and reviewed as appropriate in accordance with RSA Claims Policy.

The Individual
You will:
* Demonstrate strong technical claims ability, excellent relationship building, and influencing skills, strong communication skills
* Ensure personal compliance with all legal, regulatory and policy requirements
* Be confident to constructively challenge the status quo when seeking the best outcomes for RSA and our customers

You will have:
* ProFin Claims background
* Excellent understanding of the Profin market
