You’ll be joining my client at an exciting time and will be part of the IT team that sits at the forefront of delivering the Digital Strategy.

Working within Global Platforms to provide IT maintenance, support, and software delivery mechanisms to ensure my client has reliable and trusted services and can move forward with its Digital aspirations. The Platform area manages the controlled, reliable and predictable delivery of change within a complex and shifting environment across multiple platforms and teams.

What is required

My Client is seeking a gifted SQL Server DBA to work on the administration and development of the SQL Server database environment. You should have a skill set that encompasses:
  • SQL Server 2012 - 2016
  • backup
  • recovery
  • performance tuning
  • T-SQL and stored procedures
  • replication
  • clustering
  • SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
  • SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
Key aspects of the role:

You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be comfortable working with customers to understand how they use data and help find ways to remove bureaucracy and friction.

You’ll be self-motivated and keen to develop your career and do great work! And also, be a strong team-player who is able and willing to roll-up their sleeves to support and nurture others when required.

You will provide technical leadership to the team regarding the SQL Server Database.

You will ensure that the database, around 12Tb in size, can cope with ever increasing load, and that the database meets or surpasses industry best practice and remains compliant with policies, legislation and regulation.
