Location: Middlesbrough, Across Tees Valley

Salary: £34,885

Hours: 37 hours per week

Status: FTC – 12 months

Our client are the largest landlord group in the North East, owning and managing almost 34,000 homes in an area spanning North Tyneside to York, with the majority of properties in the Tees Valley. They are seeking an individual who shares their values to support the delivery and maintenance of cyber security through the implementation, testing, reporting and continuous improvement of security control and processes. You will help to identify, resolve and manage security vulnerabilities and perform deep dives, including root cause analysis. Alongside these ongoing tasks, you will work with and provide security advice to colleagues across the business whilst facilitating cross group, ad hoc cyber security education and awareness activities.

The right person for the role will be able to demonstrate the following:

Educated to A level standard with relevant IT qualification or equivalent experience

Knowledge of the principles and practical application of security risk management in an ICT setting

Understanding of technical Cyber Security controls and their implementation (e.g. firewalls, malware prevention, system hardening, vulnerability management, identity and access management)

Knowledge and understanding of protective monitoring and incident management procedures

Knowledge of security management frameworks

Can work independently or as part of a team

It would be advantageous to have experience managing projects and demonstrating being able to keep within timescales and prioritising tasks to achieve a deadline.
