This is an exciting opportunity to join our Engineering Team at our Glass Manufacturing Plant in Eggborough.

What will I be doing in the role?

In the role as Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Taking a leading role in the running of the site SAP PM Maintenance system with daily tracking and recording of all SAP based activities
  • Continuous management and tracking of the maintenance routines to ensure that site equipment and facilities are maintained to the correct standard
  • To ensure all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPMs) actions are carried out on time and in full.
  • Helping to manage and implement process and system improvements to increase cost effectiveness, systems reliability and performance
  • Provide SAP Training and validation to new users and develop and introduce training documentation as required
  • Creating and implementing approved capital projects
  • Keeping up to date with new developments and ensure that team members are aware of new technology, new regulations and best practice.
  • Compliance with all relevant statutory requirements
  • Become an integral part of the World Class Manufacturing continuous improvement programme

For the Maintenance Engineer specifically it is important that you have:

  • Adherence to H&S legislation, including auditing, Risk Assessments and Permit to Works
  • ? Excellent communication skills
  • ? Strong project management skills
  • ? Good people management skills
  • ? Hold an Engineering degree
  • ? Ideally be a chartered engineer
  • ? Excellent IT skills and ideally experience of SAP
  • ? Experience of Capex preparation and contractor management
  • ? Ability to be flexible and adaptable to work
  • ? Experience of the World Class Manufacturing Continuous Improvement
