We have built bespoke digital spaces for our teams in our London Digital Garage, Norwich, Bristol, and Sheffield.

We craft brand new experiences, small changes to existing products as well as investing in maintaining our existing products.

The role:

We are now looking for a Digital Designer to join the Integration and API team within our Digital organisation, working within our scrum teams to design the RESTful APIs that will underpin both ours and our partners’ digital applications.

You will be responsible for:

    Creating solutions and design for projects to meet Aviva’s standards for technology and ensure they meet our ambitions for availability, security, resilience and performance.Producing design options with associated costs, benefits and risks to enable investment decisions.Working with product owners, architects, business analysts and your local development teams along with other project colleagues to agree trade-offs between, long-term and short term goals.
We’re particularly interested in talking to people with:

    Previous hands on design experience that includes API’s and Layered Architecture.Technical Experience using Sparx Enterprise Architect (EA), Swagger and WireMockKnowledge of Object Orientated analysis.Knowledge of behaviour Driven development.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenThe ability to coach and develop othersExperience of savings, life and pensions, finance or general insurance products
The right candidate would have:

    Consultancy, communication and influencing skills.Experience of working in large teams within a global organisation
