This happy bilingual (French/ English) primary school is located in the heart of London, based just 5 minutes from Oxford Circus. It is recognised for its 'Value Added' impact and has produced numerous high calibre teachers over the years. Ofsted have just visited the school and they are waiting for the final verdict, in the past they haev been judged as 'Good'. It is one of the most popular in the borough and has an elevated number of pupils with 'English as an Additional Language'. Students here understand their rights and responsibilities well thanks to the superb support from parents and governors within the local community. The Senior Leadership Team have equipped the school with all the facilities required to meet the demands of the 21st Century, including outdoor learning space.
For this post, you must be a hard working Year 5 Teacher who has worked in an environment with a large proportion of pupils with 'English as an Additional Language' requirements and previous experience in a leading school. Your portfolio will include a good eye for potentially disruptive situations and the determination to meet challenged head-on. You will have the skills to inspire pupils to build confidence in the learning process and develop high personal expectations. The perfect candidate will be able to deliver high calibre lessons that incorporate the latest technologies and make use of fresh resources to inspire pupils to gain the most from each and every lesson.
As a Year 5 Teacher you will be taking charge of a cheerful class and you will be receiving in-class support from a talented Teaching Assistant. This post comes with support and guidance of a Headteacher who will be there to assist your development and provide a point of contact ad reference when you start. The school supports new, inventive learning and teaching styles, thus you will have all the support you need to teach in a creative, inspirational fashion. You will have the responsibility of using the schools excellent resources, such as an outside learning area in order to create an exciting learning environment. In this post you will be working alongside an especially dedicated Headteacher, liked and respected throughout the school for their positive and supportive attitude. A big part of the school's success is the up-to-date and comprehensive understanding from the teachers; with this is mind, you can rest assured you will be given the very best training and CPD as you become an integral part of the school.
