I am currently working with one of my clients who are one of the UKs largest most influential Automotive OEM'S in the UK. They are currently searching for a Powertrain Project Engineer Support to join their team on a long term rolling contract basis

You will be based within the powertrain engineering team working onsite the production plant in the West Midlands

Base 40 hours per week with a 3.30 pm finish on all Fridays

£17.00 - £22.60 per hour limited company / umbrella

Location: Whitley

Position Description:

  • The purpose of this role is to support the management and delivery of the Engine Programme to time, cost and quality, to identify, manage and escalate any risks and to support the control of all activities in order to ensure the programme is successfully completed
  • Deliver projects and work streams; from scoping to delivery and including cross-functional engagement and stakeholder management ensuring project success to required timescale, quality and cost
  • Management of required Governance, including milestone reporting, project status reporting, financial reporting and risk and issue management
  • Use lean project management principles in order to develop more effective and efficient ways of working
  • Manage stakeholders to ensure projects are aligned to stakeholder expectations
  • Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested

Skills Required: 3 KEY SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • 1) Ability to present complex data & issues to a varied audience
  • 2) Experience of Problem Resolution using structured approaches
  • 3) Ability to manage programme level risks and issues resolution.

Experience Required:

  • Previous Project Management experience with track record of delivery in Automotive / Engineering firm
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred

Experience Preferred:

  • An individual with the ability to challenge existing thinking in a positive way whilst building credibility and trust through experience and personal style
