Infrastructure Support Engineer

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Infrastructure Support Engineer to join an energetic and expanding team has sprung. Offering services such as IT support, cloud, software development, web development and app development in addition to professional training, this is not your run-of-the-mill managed service provider and you will be working on projects across a range of clients with like-minded team members.

As a Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing Infrastructure systems support and management of desktop, server, network and software infrastructure.

Location: Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk

Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 dependant on experience

Responsibilities for Infrastructure Support Engineer:

·Performing effective and informative troubleshooting activities to facilitate efficient resolution

·Resolving client calls to a high standard

·Dealing with all customers with a high calibre of professionalism

·Ensuring client satisfaction is at the centre of all actions taken

·Being mindful of agreed SLAs

·Ownership and escalation of calls

·Mentoring and developing Service Support Engineers

·Providing regular updates for clients

·Developing knowledge of chosen technologies to Subject Matter Expert Level

·Demonstrable experience in the implementing and supporting the following solutions;

oMicrosoft Windows Server technology

oFirewalling and associated network devices

oMicrosoft: Office 365, Exchange Server, Hyper-V

oVoIP and Telephony systems

oMicrosoft Lync / Skype for Business

oScripting in PowerShell

Requirements for Infrastructure Support Engineer:

·Enthusiastic and customer focus experience within a busy IT environment

·Strong communication skills (effectively interacting with technical and nontechnical customers)

·ITIL v3 Foundation certification and/or knowledge of ITIL disciplines

·Experience managing 3rd parties / delivered services

·Demonstrable people management skills

·Willingness to support and mentor junior staff

·Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

·A high degree of flexibility including shift, out of hours working and travel if required

·Excellent organisational skills

·Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information

·Demonstrable integrity and quality of service at all times
