Sheridan Maine Public Practice is currently recruiting for a highly respected Top 10 Accountancy Practice based in Guildford, who is offering a Tax Assistant job on a permanent basis.

Working within this national firm, you will be exposed to a varied client base with the opportunity to work within taxation. The department offers mentorship and unrivalled training through qualifications. The firm boasts stunning traditional offices with a varied client base and excellent exposure.

As Tax Assistant you will be responsible for:

- Preparation of corporate tax computations.
- Attend and contribute to client meetings.
- Utilise Alphatax to prepare and review reports in order to complete accurate calculations and meet deadlines.
- Preparation of P11Ds and work with benefits in kind.
- Preparation of simple persona tax returns.

The Taxation Assistant position will suit a candidate who has prior experience of working within an accountancy practice, ideally within taxation, although this is not essential. Active study towards AAT or ATT will be beneficial however again not essential and training can be provided for the right profile. Strong communication skills and an understanding of the practice environment will be highly beneficial.
