Systems Administrator (Linux)

A really fantastic opportunity for a Systems Administrator / SysOps to work for a leading marketing software provider, who have this opening due to rapid success and growth.

This role would suit a driven, customer-focused Systems Administrator working at technology companies working within an Agile environment.

Title: Systems Administrator

Location: Cambridge

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 + excellent benefits


3+ years Linux administration experience Strong troubleshooting skills, able to rapidly diagnose and resolve issuesFamiliar with web technologies Customer focused Experience with Apache configuration and runningExperience with standard TCP/IP protocols (HTTP/FTP/SSH/DNS/TFTP)Scripting languages such as Perl, bashFamiliarity with systems management and deployment tools such as Kickstart/Puppet Experience of Docker/KubernetesFamiliarity with AWS and virtualisation platformsKnowledge of network systems (load balancing, switching, routing, security)Responsibilities:

Working to manage and scale the business’s production servers and network infrastructureBuild out the end to end monitoring capabilitiesDeveloping and improving automated processesUnderstanding the big picture and how it interacts and affects tahe narrower problem domainSpecification, selection, installation, and configuration of new equipmentMonitoring and tuning of infrastructure to deliver performance and high reliabilityResponding to issues and incidents and take through to resolutionWhat this offers:
