As part of the companies global growth, and the continuing expansion of their powertrain UK division, a vacancy has arisen for a Quality Systems Manager to join the business at the Warwick office. Reporting to the Managing Director, they seek a Quality Systems Manager with extensive experience in the management of the entire business Quality Management System (QMS). The Quality System Manager position is a role within the manufacturing operation, requiring the creation & development of a Quality department, the establishment of the appropriate team, operating procedures and facilities required in the delivery and maintenance of TS16949 accreditation and all aspects of Supplier Quality Assurance.

The key functions of the role:

Setup and manage the quality office within the UK. This will require developing key product designs, suppliers and a production facility
Transfer, update and implementation of corporate QMS into the UK operation

To ensure that the procedures, processes, facilities and resources required for the QMS are established, implemented and maintained.
In accordance with the QMS prepare, implement and maintain the process and procedures required to secure and maintain TS16949 accreditation.
Liaise with external assessment body on all matter relating to the TS16949 accreditation process and post-accreditation maintenance.
Report to senior management on the QMS performance measures, and non-conformance rectification.
Prepare, implement, resource and manage the necessary elements in the deployment of a Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) function, including all processes and procedures.
Reporting of supplier quality key performance indicators to senior management.

Facilitate DFMEA's and PFMEA's internally in support of design optimisation.

Facilitate / support 8D problem resolution for both prototype and production components.
Control and monitor special and additional freight costs.
Work within a TS16949 / ISO 14001 environment and Participating in audits as required
Actively promote and champion the use of best practise to ensure compliance with the organisation's policies and procedures.
Update and maintain SAP management system as appropriate.
To assist, advise, encourage, develop and motivate others as required.
To assist other team members when appropriate.
Qualifications / Education / Experience required:
*
*Degree in business studies/management or process engineering or production engineering.
*A minimum of 5 years demonstrable experience in automotive or engineering manufacturing and assembly environment.
*Proven track record in TS16949 implementation within a low volume production assembly environment
*Proven track record in Supplier Quality Assurance management within a manufacturing and assembly environment.
*Experience in global supplier management
*Knowledge of manufacturing technologies, process and applications used within automotive powertrain products PC literate and able to confidently use MS Office products.
*Experienced user of SAP business management systems.

*Ability to read engineering drawing
*Knowledge of German or other European languages.
