Technical Architect - Newcastle

This role is with a large and renowned organisation and we are looking for a Technical Architect to join their team. There is simply no better time for you to join, they have recently kick started a brand new digital transformation project which is going to be built from the ground up, with a big focus on user experience.

To support this, the Digital team is modernising the function in line with changing business demands, including the delivery of business solutions using Agile methodologies - this is an important role for the Technical Architect to join a business where you will be able to make a difference.

The successful Technical Architect will play an important role in the development of architecture for large scale of business critical and digital applications. These systems currently support a large number internal users and external users and their application infrastructure currently utilises a Java based strategy for the majority of the operational platforms.

To be eligible you will need to have experience with the following:

  • Technical hands on coding isn't a must have however, you must they have knowledge on proof of concept, how things are built etc.
  • You will need to have a strong understanding of the basic patterns and principles of technical architecture.
  • Ideally have experience working with service orientated-architecture.
  • Experience developing and supporting applications using the agile framework.
  • Knowledge of continuous integration software and concepts.
  • You will need to have sound knowledge of Cloud development/deployment (currently they have AWS but are also planning on bringing in Azure).
  • Strong knowledge of Information Security and Design Assurance.
  • They use Java, .NET and mainly Spring Framework with SOAP / REST within Agile/SCRUM.

Salary for this role is between £35K - £48K DOE + + one of the most competitive and flexible benefits packages offered by any employer in the UK.
