Here you will be challenged everyday and work on some very complex and world class systems within challenging environmental situations to develop the next generation of unmanned maritime vehicles which will push the boundaries in Submarine and Mine Countermeasures.

The role may include, but not be limited to the following activities:
â?¢ Specify, Capture and Manage the requirement set.
â?¢ Define the project Test and Integration Strategy.
â?¢ Agreeing the Integration, Verification and Validation Method and IVV Synopsis.
â?¢ Supporting the Thales team working on the projects throughout the lifecycle.
â?¢ Work collaboratively with production and procurement to produce cost effective, easy to manufacture design solutions.
â?¢ Provide support to the preparation of detailed estimates and bids.
â?¢ Provide support to production as required.
â?¢ Trials and integration support as required.

Skills / Background
If you have Hardware Architecture Knowledge / System Engineering background with several of the following below

â?¢ Requirements Management and Development Skills.
â?¢ Understanding of Engineering Development lifecycles.
â?¢ Microsoft Office suite exposure
â?¢ A logical approach to problem solving is required.
â?¢ SONAR Systems
â?¢ Teamcentre
â?¢ Understanding of Naval platforms.
â?¢ The key areas of design undertaken for which previous exposure would be beneficial will include: -
1. The design of sonar assemblies and equipment for the sub-sea environment.
2. The design deployment systems
3. Design and development of Hardware Engineering Products.
4. Design / specification of packaging solutions
â?¢ Strong demonstrated exposure of Hardware Architecting Roles including at least a subset of the following:
1. Deriving of Systems Requirements to lower level Hardware Requirements
2. Leading engineering activity through design lifecycle.
3. Designing for platform installation on a Ship / submarine.
4. Providing support to the generation of Bids and proposals.
