Acorn Accountancy and Finance is recruiting on behalf of a £multi-million turnover company for a Finance Manager to run its UK Corporate Shared Service Centre.

You will be responsible for managing the day to day running of the Corporate Shared Service Finance department. You will act as the number 1, managing the team and the workload as and when required. You will provide specialist project support to the department.

The Role:

*Managing the Ledger Supervisors and supporting them with coaching and mentoring

*Conducting monthly and year end reconciliations

*Compliance with data protection and archiving of associated finance documentation

*Reconciling and prepare the company's factoring in excess of £50m

*Preparing rolling cash forecasts and EC Sales

*Coaching department in managing their time / workload to increase efficiency.

*Develop a timetable to ensure the department runs efficiently and professionally and drive improvements.

*Preparing Intrastat Submissions and ensuring compliance with authorities

*Adhering to a monthly and weekly timetable to ensure key objectives are completed within set deadlines

*Ensuring correct approvals are adhered to

*Balance sheet reviews

*Implement and Design KPI reporting for the department and set objectives and targets for the team and monitor the results.

*Work with Corporate Controller to build up strengths within teams and ensure adequate cover is provided for the entire department.

*Use expertise to promote the good image of the organization with customers

*Must be prepared to undertake training in both Technical aspects of the job and leadership and management if required

*Preparing Reports for Submission to Divisional and Group teams

*Key member of the Group Finance Senior Team

The Candidate:

You will be able to demonstrate significant previous experience within a busy finance function in a manufacturing environment. A good working knowledge and experience of SAP Finance is essential as well as previous experience of leading and managing a large team of finance clerks.

You will also have experience of treasury and accounts receivable and payable.

You will also possess the ability to lead and motivate the Ledger teams and set clear objectives for individuals in order to achieve departmental KPI's.

Ideally you will be have achieved at lease AAT Level 3.

You will have a good working knowledge and experience of SAP Finance and a clean Driving Licence.
