Product Support Engineer
The NPI Engineer/Technical Support Engineer/Product Support Engineer - role is focused on supporting the maintenance and growth of an identified key customer(s) as well as taking responsibility for the manufacturing process quotation of electronic and electromechanical products. The role will work under the direction of the Sales owner and in conjunction with the broader organisation.
Key Responsibilities:·Primary technical customer interface for RFQ’s, product enquiries, NPI, portfolio management. ·Applying DFM principles on electronic and electromechanical products.·Evaluating product and process requirements in relation to electronics manufacturing techniques·Interpreting and managing customer technical requirements.·Working with the customer, sales owner and organisation to identify technical and operational improvements and efficiencies.·The development of long-term relationships with key technical personnel at customer(s).·Proactive customer and situation management.·Record and maintain key customer data and analysis.·Supporting the technical requirements of the Sales owner for the customer(s).
The ideal candidate will have:·At least 5 years’ experience in a similar electronics manufacturing based technical sales and customer support engineer function or role·Strong electronics board and high level assembly knowledge·Experience in applying Design for Manufacturing principles in an electronics environment. ·Excellent communication and customer management skills·Strong problem solving capabilities and a can-do mentality·Strong PC literacy and high attention to detail·Background ideally within the electronics industry
