Success Recruit are currently working with a leading construction company based in South Essex who are currently looking to recruit an experienced Office Manager / Book-keeper to join their team and support with the continued growth and development of the team.

Our client is looking for someone who ideally has experience working within the construction industry and who can work closely alongside senior management on a daily basis in a busy office.

The Office Manager / Book-keeper will be expected to:

·Ensure the smooth running of the accounts department is met on a daily basis using sage

·Support with all office administration on a daily basis

·Support a start up business within the group of all office management duties to include processes and administration support

Job Specification

Purpose of the role:

The Office Manager / Book-keeper will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the office is achieved on a daily basis and ensure all operation staff have the correct support daily. The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance Director to ensure that all accounts are managed and kept up to date on a daily / weekly basis.

Duties will include;

Accounts Duties:

·Daily bank reconciliation

·Supporting with CIS

·Allocating invoices to jobs and costings

·Keeping sage up to date at all times and spreadsheets

·Paying suppliers on a weekly basis and supporting with cash flow

·Supporting with the preparation of payroll and posting journals to sage

Office Management Duties:

·Checking insurances are kept up to date at all times and costs are challenged with renewals

·Keeping weekly and monthly checklists up to date on machine services and other equipment

·Managing health and safety on a daily basis

·Supporting the commercial manager with website updates

·Answering incoming calls on adhoc basis

Hours: Monday – Friday: 7am -3pm, 8am -4pm or 9am – 5pm can be considered

Salary: Circa £28-£30k+ dependant on experience
