Bookkeeper - Godalming

£28,000 - £32,000

Our client is a small friendly company seeking an experienced bookkeeper with excellent attention and communication skills.

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Sage Line 50 v.21
  • Sales & Purchase Ledger
  • Quarterly management accounts
  • Trial Balance
  • Liaison with bank relationship manager
  • Debtor/creditor control
  • Banking and writing cheques
  • Petty cash management
  • Credit card management & reconciliation.
  • Receipt and expenses management
  • PAYE work, wages journal
  • Excel spreadsheets for expenditure on, for example, property
  • Quarterly VAT returns
  • Internal annual management charges and inter-company transfers
  • Bank reconciliation/account balance
  • Direct debits management

Person / Experience Required

  • Experienced book keeper with SAGE 50 and SAGE payroll and Excel experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic and initiative with ability to work unsupervised
  • Must be able to work as part of a team
  • Small company background
  • Must be able to work within a changing and growing environment
  • Must be able to demonstrate experience in the duties listed
  • Immediate availability preffered
