We are looking for the next member of our Workplace Savings Proposition Management & Development team at Aviva.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Platform Manager to provide end to end oversight of the award-winning My Money Platform, our strategic platform focused for large corporate business.

You will be responsible for evolving, managing and oversee the end to end management of the My Money Platform, working with our teams across operations, product management, distribution, and with central supplier management and IT teams.

You will ensure Platform Risk and Governance is in place that covers all component parts of the organisation that impact the platform. This includes identifying the platform risks and provide clear exec level reporting. You will maintain commercial oversight of the platform to ensure clear management of the commercial contract, working with the central commercial team, to the benefit of the Workplace Savings business, including commercial negotiation for a basis point reduction when onboarding significant schemes.

Developing platform industry insight and market relationships in the platform industry you will build recognised knowledge and expertise and use this to continually develop our platform oversight.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain the My Money platform dashboard giving an executive summary of the current state of the platform
  • Analyse and gain insight from the inputs received from each service provider that impacts the platform (Operations, Investment operations, FNZ, Product, Pricing, Distribution, etc)
  • Identify meaningful trends and their impact to the Platform
  • Work with the contractual and supplier management team to look for opportunities to improve the running of the overall platform
  • Working with finance and pricing teams to keep track of the costs involved in running the platform
  • Ensure we map our business plan to the financial model of the platform and identify creative opportunities to benefit our P&L (e.g. large scheme discounts)
  • Prepare the risk and governance pack for the Platform Risk and Governance forum
  • Identify the near and far term risks and opportunities
  • You should challenge the individual ‘service providers’ when necessary to help meet the expectations of a platform business.
  • Mitigate risk and ensure the creation and effective adoption of controls
  • Identify efficiency and effectiveness opportunities in the governance model
  • Work with relevant trade bodies in the market to ensure we are at the table to influence regulation, and the application of, and best practice.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Degree and Financial Services qualifications would be an advantage
  • Experience in platform management
  • Detailed knowledge of key risks the business and customers are exposed to and how these risks can be managed within the risk appetite. This includes, but is not limited to, Financial Crime, Data Protection
  • Detailed product and regulatory knowledge
  • Understanding of risk based methodologies and approaches, including application of standards and granular business risks
  • Understand treating customers fairly principle and how this is applied and evidence within the business
  • Understanding of effective controls; what is and is not an effective control and to test them to provide assurance
  • Knowledge of customer focused ways of working, approaches and techniques.
  • Strong data analysis & interpretation skills
  • Effective verbal and written communications, including senior partner engagement and influencing skills
What will you get for this role?
  • Salary of up to/between £45,000-70,000
